Acidic Ferric Chloride solution is a common etchant for etching stainless steel, Damascus steel, copper alloys, Cu-Al bronze, Cu-Ni. This formula is listed in ASTM Standard E407 as formula number 34. Made with reagent grade ferric chloride and hydrochloric acid.
