Hydrochloric Acid Solution, 5%, 500 mL

This is a diluted 5% hydrochloric acid solution for the Nital etch test. It removes the black oxide film formed by Nital (de-smut) and provides a uniform brownish-grey surface, highlighting the overheated areas. This product is made with ACS reagent grade chemicals, it complies with the requirements of de-smut solution per MIL-STD-867C and AMS 2649C.

User Instructions:

• Immerse the specimen as long as needed. Agitate when immersed.
