Kroll’s Reagent, 250 mL
Kroll’s Reagent (AKA Kroll’s etch) is the most popular metallographic etchant for etching titanium alloys. It reveals the structural details, and with certain titanium alloys will reveal grain boundaries. The primary alpha structure of titanium will appear white after etching. Alpha prime and acicular alpha structures will be outlined. Intergranular beta structure and beta grains will be darkened.
