Class A is a chemical for etching magnesium alloys as part of the pre-penetrant etch process in non-destructive testing (NDT). It prepares magnesium parts for the subsequent fluorescent penetrant inspection as outlined in multiple aerospace manuals, such as GEK 9250. User Instructions:
- Some crystals will form at the bottom of the container during winter months. To restore for use, place the bottle in a hot water bath until all crystals are re-dissolved.
- Shelf life is 1 year.
